The principle of sound healing: All matter comes from energy and in a constant state of vibration. When all aspects of our being are balanced, our body is vibrating at its optimum frequency and we are in a state of health. However, when this frequency changes and different parts of the body become dis-harmonious and we enter a dis-eased state (The Australian College of Sound Therapy, 2021).
Sound Therapy aims to provide the body with key notes that rejuvenate, revive, relax and restore the body balance. Treatment is in a non - invasive, gentle and calming way.
The body has approximately 37 trillion cells and every one of these resonating at its own unique sound frequency. And every part of our body, bones, muscles, tissues, organs and glands has their own unique vibratory rate which can change depending on your state of wellbeing (The Australian College of Sound Therapy, 2021).
Sound therapy can help with bringing the body to its optimum frequency by using instruments such as Tibetian singing bowls, solfeggio tuning forks, ocean drum wave, rain stick, koshi chimes, crystal bowl and gong.
Our body is made up of 75% water. Water is a great conductor of sound vibrations.
Sound wave passing through the body stimulates red blood cells and open up the blood supply to all organs and throughout the body. Hence, sound therapy can effectively influence all the cells in our body and help us to rebalance our organs. While on the other hand, certain sound frequencies synchronise the brainwaves which help to release energetic blockages thus inducing a state of ease and harmony in the body - i.e. activating de-stress responses in the body.
